Work Editorial welcomes Sam Allen to UK team

LONDON - Work Editorial (www.workeditorial.tv) recently welcomed Sam Allen to its team of UK-based editors. A lifelong Londoner, Allen attributes his ear for storytelling to growing up in an area surrounded by a rich mix of cultures, perspectives and characters.

Allen began working in post production as a runner at The Playroom Post at the age of 18 before landing at Speade and assisting Sam Sneade a few years later. After that, his career as an editor took off. His portfolio includes work on Dove’s Bench with Oglivy, which involved combing through more than 80 hours of hidden camera footage that was shot of two South African benches. He was able to compile heart-warming vignettes that told a deeper story about the human condition and its need for touch.

Allen is equally at home editing comedic spots, stylish music videos or films with heavy VFX elements. He is the editor behind the Guinness St. Patrick’s Day campaign “Holding Out for a Zero,” and has also worked with Coca-Cola, Mercedes, Bulgari, Google Pixel, Premier League, and Puma. His music videos credits include projects for internationally-renowned artists that include Dua Lipa, Alt-J, Måneskin, Wet Leg, Glass Animals and Wesley Joseph.
