Digital Domain adds VFX supervisor Pete Dionne

LOS ANGELES - Digital Domain (www.digitaldomain.com) has hired Pete Dionne as visual effects supervisor. He brings 25 years of experience in the VFX industry, with a strong record in building digital creatures and complex CG environments.

Dionne comes to Digital Domain following a decade leading large-scale projects at studios such as Framestore, Method Studios and MPC. Most recently, he completed supervising Skydance Media's The Gorge. Previously, he served as visual effects supervisor on Thor: Love and Thunder, delivering the film's black-and-white "Moon of Shame" sequence. He also spearheaded creature development and character integration for Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, leading teams that brought Pikachu and dozens of CG Pokémon to life.

Dionne began his career in 2000 as a CG generalist, building a deep technical foundation before advancing to CG and DFX supervisor roles at Technicolor and MPC. His hands-on leadership on titles such as The Lone Ranger, Elysium and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 demonstrated his readiness for senior creative roles, culminating in his promotion to visual effects supervisor in 2014. He is based in Vancouver and will supervise visual effects for an upcoming Warner Bros. feature film.

"Digital Domain has a longstanding reputation for delivering work of the highest caliber," says Dionne. "The studio's uncompromising dedication to visual quality and creativity, commitment to innovation, and investment in emerging technologies were significant factors in my decision. I look forward to contributing to the strong culture of excellence that defines Digital Domain."
