LOS ANGELES - Lost Planet (www.lostplanet.com) recently promoted Doug Yablun to editor at the post house. The announcement follows years of him working as a lead assistant editor.
Yablun's career started in Los Angeles, where he began editing for YouTube channels Smosh and Clevver. He later worked as an assistant colorist at Company 3 before returning to his editorial roots and joining Lost Planet. He has cut campaigns for Nike, American Express and Pinterest, as well as Major League Soccer's social-first campaign featuring Lionel Messi. His music video credits include Hank May’s Morgana, while his feature work includes the film Portal to Hell, which premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival and is set for a limited theatrical release this summer.
“I saw an assistant editor job posting, and for some reason, they decided to take a chance on me," he recalls. "From then on, everyone at Lost Planet has become family to me. Their approach to editing and collaboration has been a huge inspiration to me. I’m thrilled to join the roster officially.”
