Music producer/supervisor Peter Gannon named partner at NYC's Invisible Art

NEW YORK CITY — Music producer/music supervisor Peter Gannon, whose resume includes leading the music departments at global agencies such as Ogilvy, Wieden + Kennedy, and McCann Worldwide, has joined Invisible Art (iamusic.co) as partner, creative director and music supervisor. He brings nearly two decades of award-winning music production expertise to the year-old boutique music company.

Invisible Art was launched in 2024 by film, TV and advertising composers Craig DeLeon and Jonathan Sanford, who serve as creative directors, and managing director Kit Winter. The founders — longtime collaborators from their time at Human Music — created Invisible Art to offer a modern, boutique, black-and-female-owned music company led by composers deeply engaged in the worlds of streaming, cinema and advertising.

“With his agency experience and extraordinary music supervision skillset, Peter completes our 360-degree range in music for advertising,” states Sanford.

“His experience being in the trenches agency side and working directly with brands is an invaluable skillset," adds Winter, "so we jumped at the opportunity to bring him on as a partner but also a friend and trusted collaborator.”

Gannon’s work is rooted in an avant-garde classical music conservatory education, combined with a career as a composer, sound designer and indie film music supervisor. He also had a decade-long run as a recording and touring artist for independent music label Beggars Banquet Records. His work has honored with Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, AICP, AMP, LIA and Guild of Music Supervisors Awards.

In 2020, Gannon launched his own music company, Halo Music & Sound, and now brings his experience and passion to Invisible Art.

“IA’s launch last year got my attention,” says Gannon. “Having my own boutique music company was a dream come true. My vision for Halo was to build a team with the caliber of talent, competency, and kindness of Craig, Jonathan, and Kit. When the opportunity came along to join IA, it was an easy decision.”
