Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Sara Bennett joins Untold Studios

LONDON - Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Sara Bennett has joined forces with Untold Studios (https://untoldstudios.tv) as part of the company’s expanding film & episodic team. Bennett comes to the studio from Milk, the London-based VFX facility she co-founded in 2013. There, she built an award-winning body of work across feature film and high-end television projects.

Bennett made history in 2016 when she became only the second woman to win the Academy Award for Visual Effects, taking home the Oscar for her contributions to Alex Garland’s Ex Machina. The film also earned her a BAFTA nomination. Her arrival comes amid a growing run of film & episodic work at Untold Studios. The company's recent and upcoming slate includes Netflix’s Remarkably Bright Creatures, Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars, Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, FX and Disney+’s Alien: Earth, Disney’s Lilo & Stitch, and Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3, among others.

“Sara is one of the industry’s most respected VFX supervisors, with an outstanding track record across film and television,” notes Untold Studios' executive director Christopher Gray, “With more than 25 years of experience, her creative talent, technical expertise and reputation are exceptional. She is not only a tremendous creative force with a passion for excellence, but also a collaborative leader who brings out the best in those around her. As Untold continues to grow across major studio and streamer projects, Sara’s arrival marks an exciting next step for our film & episodic team.”
