THE DR GROUP HOSTS FINAL CUT PRO SEMINARS

LOS ANGELES – The DR Group, a provider of Final Cut Pro products, editing services, support, training and facility planning, recently hosted a set of seminars revolving around FCP and its peripherals. The event was held at The DR Group’s new 12,500 square foot Culver City facility and marks the first in what will be an ongoing series of educational classes focusing on the nonlinear editing application.

Final Cut Pro guru Larry Jordan made the presentation, covering topics such as OS, FCP setup & maintenance, power tips, improving output, and optimizing a system for HD. He also went over LiveType techniques and audio repair using Soundtrack Pro.

The DR Group will hold its next event - moderated by Jordan - on March 21st. The upcoming session will revolve around 24-frame workflow, the benefits of 24p, varying camera formats, pull downs and removal, and finishing in Cinematools.
