LONDON – Molinare Creative Group (molinare.co.uk) has appointed Richard Welsh group chief innovation officer, a role that will help the company accelerate its strategy across AI, automation and next-generation production workflows. Welsh brings more than 25 years of experience in media technology and innovation, including senior roles at Deluxe, Dolby and Technicolor. He was also founder and CEO of Sundog Media Toolkit, the cloud-based mastering technology company acquired by Deluxe in 2020.
In the newly-created position, Welsh will work across Molinare Creative Group’s five specialist businesses to identify where emerging technology can make a meaningful difference to creative and production workflows, the client experience and the way the group operates.
Welsh began his career at Dolby Laboratories, working across film sound and digital cinema, before taking on a senior role at Technicolor. In 2013, he founded Sundog Media Toolkit, where he developed cloud-based automated mastering technology for film and television. Following its acquisition by Deluxe, he went on to serve as SVP of innovation at Deluxe.
