SONY PICTURES IMAGEWORKS UPGRADES IMAGICA FILM SCANNERS
October 3, 2005 –  LOS ANGELES - Sony Pictures Imageworks has upgraded its Imagica (www.imagica-la.com) Imager XE digital film scanner to the Imager XE Advanced - Plus. The latest version scans 35mm motion picture film at a speed of 1.9 seconds per frame for 4K and 1.3 second per frame for 2K.
