CRAWFORD POSTS MCDONALD'S HD 'CONCERT'
November 13, 2002
ATLANTA, GA - Crawford Post Production recently completed work on the high definition project, "The McDonald's Concert for World Children's Day," which will air on ABC on Thursday, November 14th. The special features Celine Dion, Enrique Iglesias, Yolanda Adams and other notables performing in Chicago back in September.

Executive Visions produced the project, using 12 HD cameras, each with an isolated record feed to Sony HDCam VTRs at 24p. Crawford's Ron Heidt was on hand during the shoot, serving as HD technical consultant.

Heidt and Sheri Kidwell did the final HD edit/conform for this show in Crawford's HD hybrid edit suite. Greg Crawford engineered the stereo and 5.1 audio mix in Crawford's Audio A.

This program will also be shown on the ABC Family cable network on Tuesday, November 19th, and Crawford is working on a DVD version of this show. The DVD promises to offer extended performances and behind-the-scenes footage.

Additional Crawford credits include executive producer Kathleen Fitch. DVD authoring was handled by Avril Palmquist, while Maggie Wheeler contributed DVD menu design. Curtis Elder took care of HD cosmetic fixes and DVD menus. HD logos were created by Tom Fulks. Tom Roche provided post services for the DVD.
