FIRE DESTROYS AARDMAN'S ARCHIVES
October 10, 2005
The roof and three interior walls of Aardman's Bristol location collapsed after the blaze tore through the Victorian building. Flames are said to have reached over 100 feet in the air. No one was in the building when the fire broke out.

Aardman reps say props and sets used in its latest feature, "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit," were not destroyed in the blaze. Those that were affected include the sets from the shorts "A Grand Day Out," "The Wrong Trousers" and "A Close Shave," as well as those from the feature film, "Chicken Run."
