MR. WONDERFUL OPENS 32ND AMERICA'S CUP

Creative director Beirne Lowry and the Mr. Wonderful team researched the event and created an open that incorporates archival footage, along with 3D graphics. Geometric animated ribbons are used to represent the air currents that work with and against the boats as they depart from their respective countries.

The studio used Adobe After Effects and Autodesk Flame on the project and delivered it in both NTSC and PAL formats. The series began airing on Versus in May and continues through early July.

Mara Smalley and Frank Farella served as designers for Mr. Wonderful. Rick Malwitz, Mark Thompson, Min Cho, Frank Farella and Rachel Riggs all contributed toward the animation.

RotoFactory's Trevor Bajus and Matt St. Leger handled rotoscoping and compositing.
