Assimilate's Scratch Six, Scratch Lab now shipping

SANTA CLARA, CA — Assimilate’s (www.assimilateinc.com) Scratch Six, and Scratch Lab are now shipping — both products were released simultaneously and are available for Mac OS X and Windows 7.

Scratch Six is a datacentric DI system for the playback, conform, editing, color grading, compositing and finishing of Red camera and high-end digital workflows. It is boasts a lower price tag then previous versions of Scratch. Priced at $17,995, Assimilate hopes more users can now afford to embrace the tool, including indie and documentary filmmakers, along with episodic broadcast facilities and boutique post houses.

Scratch Six is paired with Scratch Lab, which is also now available. It’s a digital lab tool designed to meet the requirements of on-location workflows and VFX dailies pipelines.
