Beast adds film comedy editor William Kerr to cut spots

LOS ANGELES – Edit house Beast (www.beast.tv), with offices in Santa Monica, New York, Austin, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta and San Francisco, has added film editor William Kerr, ACE, to its commercial editing roster.

Kerr,  a collaborator of Judd Apatow, is best known for his work on the film Bridesmaids, which earned him a nomination from the American Cinema Editors for  Best Edited Feature Film, Comedy or Musical. Kerr's other film editing credits include writer/director Nicholas Stoller's Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, and the recent Five-Year Engagement; writer/director John Hamburg’s I Love You, Man, and director Greg Mottola's Superbad.

“Brands and advertising agencies have expanded the nature of their content,’ says Beast founding partner Igor Kovalik. “They are looking beyond the 30-second format. Branded content is becoming entertainment in its own right. As a result, we are positioning ourselves with talent whose skill sets reflect the type of work Beast is doing.”
