Matrox driver increases support for Avid & Adobe tools

MONTREAL — Matrox Video Products Group has released a unified driver on the PC that provides support for the latest software releases for the Avid Media Composer family of products and Adobe CS6 Production Premium on the Matrox MXO2 and Matrox MXO2 Max families of I/O devices, and the Matrox Mojito Max I/O card.

Key features of the release include support for audio punch-in using Avid editing applications, as well as support for recording voiceovers using Adobe Premiere Pro. Preliminary (beta) support for the new Windows 8 (64-bit) operating system is also included. 
  
The new PC software release Version 7.1 is available now to registered users as a free download from the Matrox Website (www.matrox.com/video).  A unified driver for Mac users (Version 3.3) will be available in January and will provide for support for Apple FCP X and Compressor, in addition to the Avid and Adobe applications.
