GUILDFORD, UK — Imagineer Systems (www.imagineersystems.com) has released Mocha Plus, a new product category for the company, which created the Academy Award-winning Mocha Planar Tracking technology. According to chief marketing officer Ross Shain, the release helps better define the difference between Mocha AE CC for Creative Cloud, which is bundled free with After Effects, and Imagineer’s upgraded version, which adds advanced features and support for Premiere Pro.
Mocha Plus is geared toward budget-constrained freelance artists and editors who are in need of planar tracking and roto tools. After Effects users will also gain significant features by upgrading the Adobe bundled Mocha AE CC to Mocha Plus, which is available for a special upgrade price of $195.
Mocha Plus replaces Imagineer’s Mocha AE product and adds professional VFX modules, including a 3D camera solver, lens correction tools for After Effects, and support for copying and pasting Mocha roto masks directly to the Premiere Pro timeline. Mocha Plus also supports a multitude of compositing and NLE applications, including recent versions of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro CC 2014, Apple Final Cut Pro and Motion, HitFilm, and Boris FX plug-ins.
Mocha Plus 4 is available on Mac OS X and Windows. Existing owners of Mocha AE V.3 can upgrade to Mocha Plus 4 for $95. New users can purchase Mocha Plus on the Imagineer Systems Website for $245.
