Todd-Soundelux files Chapter 11

HOLLYWOOD — Todd-Soundelux ( www.toddsoundelux.com ) , the renowned audio post facility formerly known as CSS Studios, has announced that it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in U.S. bankruptcy court in the Central District of California.

The award-winning company, known for its work on such high-profile projects as Divergent, Muppets Most Wanted  and TV’s Game of Thrones reportsthat it will focus on restructuring the business for sale.

In a statement issued to the Hollywood Reporter, “this action has been necessitated by a significant decline in revenues, primarily in the feature film segment, which has impacted the independent post production sound business in the Los Angeles area.”

While its Hollywood and Santa Monica locations have reportedly been closed, the company says its Burbank offices will remain open as it honors prior commitments to clients and projects.

Please stay tuned for further details on this developing story.
