Whitehouse Post promotes James Dierx to editor

LOS ANGELES — Whitehouse Post has promoted James Dierx to editor at the LA studio. He joined Whitehouse Post as an intern in 2007 and readily worked his way up to assistant editor. Dierx has worked with a number of well-known directors, including Smuggler’s Henry Alex Rubin, documentarian Rory Kennedy, music video director Hiro Murai. His credits include work for Allstate, Toyota, GE, Barbie and Google.

Born in Toronto and raised in Chicago, Dierx discovered his enthusiasm for editing while making action films as a child. He attended film school at Depaul University in Chicago and later joined Whitehouse Post. In 2011 he moved to Whitehouse Los Angeles.

“James excels at VFX and technical expertise and has a strong intuition for editing,” says co-founder and creative director Rick Lawley. “He has the ability to turn out both pointedly comedic as well as visually stunning and beautifully emotive work. We’re very happy to welcome him onto our LA roster.”
