HBO's Game of Thrones, Chernobyl dominate Emmys

LOS ANGELES – Last night, The Television Academy celebrated the 71st Emmy Awards, recognizing excellence in primetime programming and individual achievement for the 2018-2019 television season. HBO’s Game of Thrones was the top recipient this year, with 12 Emmy wins, including Outstanding Drama Series. HBO’s Chernobyl received 10 awards, including Outstanding Limited Series. In total, HBO won 34 awards (9 Telecast, 25 Creative Arts). Netflix was the next most successful with a total of 27. 

Emmys were awarded in 97 other categories at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Septemer 14th and 15th (See the complete list). The following is a list of last night’s awards winners.
