Soundtheory & Cinemasound partner on contest

LONDON — Soundtheory (www.soundtheory.com), the maker of audio processing solutions, has partnered with Cinemasound, a for audio-for-film educational resource. Over the next month, the two companies will publish four instructional videos about using the intelligent EQ Gullfoss in post production. In addition, each week, they will raffle off one license for Gullfoss and one free Cinemasound video course, a $250 value.

Gullfoss is an easy-to-use tool for musicians as well as professional mastering engineer. Its clean user interface offers a set of basic parameters that can be adjusted to improve the clarity, detail, spatiality, and balance of a mix or recording in a matter of seconds.

Mark Lewis is the founder of Cinemasound.com, and has found Gullfoss to be a valuable tool for audio post work. He has written and presented four videos that explain how to use Gullfoss in the world of cinematic audio post production.

The first video in the series is "Gullfoss for Sound Effects in Post Production”. Follow up videos will look at using the tool for dialogue, music and 5.1 surround work.
