Lauren Friedman promoted to editor at Modern Post

NEW YORK CITY - Modern Post (https://modernpost.com), which specializes in commercials, branded content and music videos, has promoted Lauren Friedman to editor. A graduate of NYU’s Film and Television program in 2017, Friedman joined Modern Post in 2019 as an assistant editor. Her list of credits includes Gigi Hadid’s Can’t Stop the Beat for Vogue (featuring Laverne Cox, Cole Escola, Marc Jacobs and Alton Mason), Bad Gyal’s Da Me, and the Nowness short In Cairo, which spotlights young female skaters, drifters and motorbike riders. She also collaborated on Sabrina Carpenter’s Please Please Please music video, which she co-edited with William Town.

“I was originally drawn to Modern Post because of the caliber and style of the work," says Friedman. "These were the projects that I dreamed of working on. What’s kept me here are the people. There’s such a strong sense of passion and dedication to the craft, and everyone’s commitment to excellence is motivating every day.”

Town points to Friedman's natural instincts for rhythm and emotion, as well as an innate curiosity that keeps her growing.

"Her work is a genuine expression of that character," he shares. "She’s a trusted and engaged collaborator who is not afraid to make her mark, while graciously respecting the stakeholders in the creative process.”
