MTI Film acquires dailies/editorial facility Mango NewEdit

LOS ANGELES - MTI Film (www.mtifilm.com), the Emmy-winning post facility and software developer, has acquired Mango NewEdit, the Burbank-based provider of remote dailies and Avid editorial services. Founded in 1994 by Stan Cassio, Mango NewEdit (https://mangonewedit.com) brings decades of Avid offline editing expertise, a network of global data center locations and a distinguished portfolio of high-profile television credits.

The acquisition positions MTI Film as a comprehensive post service provider, capable of supporting productions from the first day of principal photography through final delivery. This includes dailies, offline editorial, VFX and final color grading. MTI Remote has supported Emmy Award-winning productions, such as Shōgun and 9-1-1. With its Vancouver subsidiary, Flow Post Partners, MTI can offer global production support at every stage of the creative process.

"This acquisition is a landmark moment for what we can offer our production clients," says Barbara Marshall, SVP at MTI Film. "For years, productions have had to piece together their post pipeline across multiple vendors and time zones. Now MTI Film can be a true end-to-end creative partner — from the moment camera cards come off set, through editorial and VFX, all the way to final color. The creative continuity that brings to a production is invaluable, and combined with Stan's extraordinary team and their global reach, we can now support our clients anywhere in the world without sacrificing the quality and personal attention they've always expected from us."

Cassio will continue in a leadership capacity within the combined organization, serving as SVP post production sales.

"I've long admired Larry Chernoff's vision and what the entire MTI Film team have built — both as a facility and as a software company," Cassio shares. "Joining this family means our clients immediately benefit from capabilities we could never have offered independently. MTI's Cortex and DRS Nova software platforms, Flow Post Partners in Vancouver, and the global reach of MTI Remote are an exciting opportunity for us to continue advancing the state of the art.”

With data center locations and post partners spanning Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Mexico City, London, Morocco, and beyond, MTI Film now operates one of the most geographically distributed post production networks in the world.
