Sibling Rivalry names new managing director

NEW YORK CITY — Creative company Sibling Rivalry (siblingrivalry.com) has appointed Kristen Bedard Johnson (KBJ) managing director. She will work closely with Sibling Rivalry’s film and studio teams to define a powerful strategic vision and unlock opportunities that showcase and unite the company’s brand, marketing and production capabilities.

KBJ brings more than two decades of experience in live-action production, talent management and creative partnerships. She has a background in art and theater, having begun her career touring on Broadway before transitioning into sales and executive producing in commercial film. Her career includes positions at Furlined, Smuggler and Sanctuary Content.

“It’s rare to find a company that not only mirrors how you think and work, but also shares your values," says KBJ. "What I love most about Sibling Rivalry is that it's a place where the best ideas win and people are given the creative freedom to experiment, succeed, fail and grow. We’re only at the beginning, but Sibling Rivalry’s genuine care for one another and the work is undeniable. I’m excited to see what we create together.”

David Brickel, executive producer at Sibling Rivalry, adds, “Bringing KBJ on feels like we just poured rocket fuel on Sibling Rivalry. She understands both strategy and production at a deep level, which is exactly what we need to connect the dots and push the whole company forward.”

KGJ is based in New York and will collaborate with Sibling Rivalry’s teams in Los Angeles and New York to shape the company’s directorial roster, lead key brand and production initiatives, and pursue new creative partnerships and opportunities.
