MEWshop hosting Boris FX events

NEW YORK — Digital training center Manhattan Edit Workshop (www.mewshop.com) will be hosting two Boris FX events this fall: a product demo lead by Boris FX senior product manager Peter McAuley on October 24th and an Avid FX workshop lead by Avid certified instructor Tibor Spiegel on November 10th.

Avid FX is now bundled free with Avid Media Composer 6.5 and Symphony 6.5, and offers a wide range of features right on the Avid timeline and as a standalone engine for effects creation and rendering. In the one-day workshop presented Spiegel, students will gain an understanding of the Avid FX interface as well as learn how to create masks and shapes, and generate 3D vector-based titles and graphics.

During the Boris FX demo with McAuley, attendees will get an in-depth look at how this tool is used in the real world for 3D compositing, titling, effects and transitions. Boris Continuum Complete V.8 AVX gives Avid editors over 200 filters, a full suite of color correction tools, time-based effects, blurs, glows, and cinematic effects. Over 1,000 professionally designed presets are included free with every installation of BCC.

The October 24th event is free and those who attend can save $50 off the November 10th event, which is priced at $399.
