NAB 2014: Bluefish444 collaborates with Assimilate

LAS VEGAS — Bluefish444 (www.bluefish444.com), the Melbourne, Australia-based manufacturer of uncompressed 4K/2K/HD/SD SDI video cards, announced that it has developed Windows 4K and Mac OS X 2K SDI preview for Assimilate Scratch and Scratch Lab V8 (www.assimilateinc.com). Bluefish444 has collaborated with Assimilate to develop a freely available plug-in for its Epoch range of video cards, including the Epoch|4K Supernova and Epoch|4K Supernova S+.

Bluefish444 video cards running on Windows will support the following new 4K SDI previews and features from within Scratch and Lab V8: 4096 x 2160 @ 48, 50, 59 & 60fps; 3840 x 2160 @ 48, 50, 59 & 60fps; 2048 x 1080 @ 48Pfps; improved SDI preview performance from 16-bit sources; and improved SDI preview performance from RAW sources.

Bluefish444 video cards running on Mac OS X will support the following new 2K 12-bit SDI previews and features from within Scratch and Scratch Lab V8: 2048 x 1080 12-bit @ 24 fps; improved SDI preview performance from 16-bit sources; and improved SDI preview performance from RAW sources.

Bluefish444 is demonstrating 4K 60p YUV SDI preview in Scratch V8 at NAB utilizing a TV Logic 4K 10-bit SDI broadcast monitor. The Windows and Mac OS X drivers supporting Scratch and Scratch Lab V8 will be available from the Bluefish444 Website free of charge in Q2 2014.
