March 12th LAPPG meeting to offer tax advice

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Post Production Group will hold its next meeting on Thursday, March 12th, at the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences (Roth Hall) in Santa Monica. The event will include a presentation by Tony Watson (pictured) of Robert Hall & Associates, who will explore “Tax Considerations for Entertainment Professionals.” With April 15th approaching, the presentation aims to help pros save themselves and their businesses money.

Watson will address topics such as the “top 5 entertainment industry deductions”, “whether or not incorporating is the way to go,” “how to avoid paying a self-employment tax,” and “how pay yourself a reasonable salary.” He will also answer questions about “renting back a home office.”

Watson graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. As an Enrolled Agent, he started working for Robert Hall & Associates in 2005 and has quickly become one of their leading tax consultants.
