Arri partners with Sondor

AMSTERDAM – Arri (www.arri.com) has announced that it will be an official reseller of the Sondor (www.sondor.ch) Altra telecine. This adds realtime and sound scanning capabilities to its product range. Altra is a film-to-video transfer system.
The two companies recently collaborated on a package for a German university that combined an Arriscan for high-quality scanning and a Sondor Altra for realtime telecine. The package allows the university to cover all of their scanning needs with just two machines.
“The Sondor Altra is an ideal realtime addition to our high performance Arriscan and therefore the perfect cost-effective combination for the archive and dailies market,” notes Stephan Schenk, GM business unit camera & DI systems at Arri.
“We are delighted to join forces with Arri,” adds William Hungerbuehler, Sondor VP who is responsible for business development. “Our film transfer products are an ideal match and Sondor customers will profit from Arri’s excellent worldwide sales network.” |
