VFX house Asylum closes

SANTA MONICA — Asylum Visual Effects (www.asylumfx.com) has closed its doors. The rumor was confirmed by chief operating officer Emma McGuinness at the studio.

The studio contributed to both film and commercial projects. The company Website highlights work Asylum has done for the features Master and Commander, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Terminator Salvation. On the commercial side, Asylum work on spots promoting Call of Duty Black Ops, Verizon's Stealth and Porsche's Family Tree.
