Oscars: Green Book wins 'Best Picture', Bohemian Rhapsody nabs four Oscars

LOS ANGELES – The 91st Academy Awards took place last night in Los Angeles, with Green Book taking top honors for ‘Best Picture’, as well as Oscars for ‘Actor in a Supporting Role’ (Mahershala Ali) and ‘Writing - Original Screenplay’ (Nick Vallelonga, Brian Currie, Peter Farrelly).

Roma, which entered the ceremony with 10 nominations, took home three Oscars, with Alfonso Cuaron being recognized for ‘Cinematography’, ‘Directing’ and ‘Foreign Language Film’. The Favourite, which also had 10 nominations, took home just a single Oscar - Olivia Colman for ‘Actress In A Supporting Role’.

Vice and A Star Is Born both had eight nominations, though both only won a single statuette each - Vice for ‘Makeup and Hairstyling’ (Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe and Patricia DeHaney), and A Star Is Born for ‘Music - Original Song’ (Music and Lyric by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt).

Bohemian Rhapsody did well in the post production categories, winning awards for ‘Film Editing’, ‘Sound Editing’ and ‘Sound Mixing’. Rami Malek was also honored for ‘Actor In A Leading Role’.
