LOS ANGELES — Ethos (ethos.studio), which provides editing, color grading and VFX services, recently welcomed colorist Dante Pasquinelli to its growing LA studio. After arriving in Los Angeles, Pasquinelli cut his teeth as a post engineer. His breakthrough role as a colorist came from grading IFC’s Stan Against Evil, which led to him working on TV series for AMC and Netflix.
Pasquinelli’s visual approach juxtaposes rich, desaturated colors against gritty textural and atmospheric elements, evoking a retro sense of glamour, infused with a hint of countercultural edge. Some of the luxury brands that he has worked with include Gucci, Armani, Fendi, Lanvin, Rodarte, Calvin Klein and Vogue. Other projects include advertising campaigns for Apple, Nike, BMW, Victoria’s Secret, New Balance, Mango and Canon.
“From the first meeting with the Ethos team, I knew they were my people.” notes Pasquinelli. “Not often do you find such dedicated and caring creatives. I am honored to be grading next to Kaitlyn Battistelli, and to have the support of the entire team. Also, bonus that they have a cool logo.”
