LOS ANGELES - Production company London Alley (londonalley.com) has signed director Boni Mata to its roster. Based in New York, Mata is a Clio Award-winning Spanish/American writer/director whose work spans commercials, music videos, short films and short-form television series. She has also written several feature scripts.
At London Alley, Mata recently directed the Illuminate music video from Jessie Reyez and Elyanna, which was part of the official 2026 FIFA World Cup soundtrack, as well as the Milani Cosmetics brand campaign, "What’s Inside is Everything."
"London Alley has a rare ability to make work that promises both cultural immediacy and cinematic innovation,” says Mata. “I’ve already had the chance to make some of my favorite work with them, and there’s a genuine sense of trust in the way the team champions directors and their visions. As an aspiring director making digicam videos for my college housemates, London Alley was one of the first production companies whose name I learned. I am so honored and excited to build on this relationship and continue making lasting art together."
Mata received a Clio Award in 2021 for her branded doc Bridge-s, which spotlights Solange Knowles’s performance installation at the Getty Center. She began her career making branded videos in collaboration with Good Music and Virgil Abloh, going on to produce and direct branded and commercial content for SAP, Dropbox, Sony and Acne Studios.
