Kate Berry promoted to managing director at MakeMake

LOS ANGELES - MakeMake (https://makemake.com), the unified creative studio, has promoted Kate Berry to managing director of the newly-structured narrative design department. MakeMake’s narrative design & world building department consists of animation, design, short-form, production, VFX, emerging technology and color.

Since joining the studio in 2017, Berry has played an integral role in helping MakeMake's creative teams bring projects to life. She was the EP behind the Emmy-winning title sequences for Shogun and The Last of Us, to name a few.

“I’ve always loved being part of the process from the very beginning, helping shape ideas into something meaningful,” says Berry. “MakeMake has been home to so much of my growth as an executive producer, and working alongside this incredibly talented team has shaped how I think about the work in every way. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and really excited for everything we’re going to build together."

“This is a new era for MakeMake, and we’re stepping into it with gusto," adds Angus Wall, founder and CEO of MakeMake. "Kate has the tenacity, finesse, and eye for detail necessary to make what we have in the works at narrative design happen."
