NEW YORK CITY - Pro Sound Effects (prosoundeffects.com), the provider of professionally recorded sound effects for film, television, advertising and technology, is announcing native panel integration for Avid Media Composer. The company is one of the first sound effects providers to offer this capability within the nonlinear editing system.
The new integration gives video editors direct access to Pro Sound Effects' library of more than 1.2 million sounds without leaving the Media Composer interface. Built using Avid's Media Composer Panel SDK, the result enables a fast, fully licensed sound effects workflow. The integration also connects to PSE's free, cross-platform desktop app, SoundQ, allowing teams to browse, search and organize sounds from their internal SFX libraries on local, network or cloud storage (such as Avid NEXIS), and import them into Media Composer bins with metadata intact.
"Sound effects are integral to every media production project," explains Bradford Swanson, head of product at Pro Sound Effects. "They need to be quick and easy to access. We're proud to be the first sound effects platform to offer this tight integration with Avid Media Composer."
The PSE panel for Avid Media Composer is available now and is free to all Pro Sound Effects customers.
